Once into space, the rangers and Alpha are taken into a tractor beam of a
strange megaship. Once onboard, the owner finds them and they discover he is a ranger! The new ranger, named Andros, is actually
the red space ranger, and refuses to let our earthling rangers help find Zordon. He sends them to a distant with their
space ship and is about leave when Alpha convinces him otherwise. Andros gives our rangers morphers and TJ gains
blue ranger power, Carlos black, Ashley yellow, and Cassie pink. Together, they fight off a new vilainess Astronema
and her army of Quantrons. Alpha makes modifications to the Nasada ship and the Megaship to form the Astro
Megazord.
After countless battles with Astronema, the rangers and Andros learn to trust
each other and often go back to earth to attend school and other activities. They also learn that Andros has not only been
looking for Zordon, but for his long lost sister Karone as well.
After an extended time period, the rangers find a planet they think Zordon is on.
The stumble across a wounded Phantom Ranger, who gives Andros a key card to the Delta Megaship. Andros takes it and uncovers
the Delta Megaship and a Battleizer, which controls the Delta Megaship and lets it transform into the Delta Megazord.
This new zord is also able to combine with the Astro Megazord.
Alas, with new aquisitions come new enemies and the Rangers face Darkonda, a sinister
bounty hunter joining Astronema's forces. While on the planet Onyx, Andros wins the Mega cards in a game which
show him the location of Zordon's hidden zords, the Mega Vehicles. Each ranger pilots a mega vehicle, which can combine
to form the Mega Voyager.
Right after discovering the Mega Voyager, the rangers save Lightning Cruiser and Storm
Blaster, two ancient Sentient vehicles that aided the turbo rangers frequently back on earth. Astronema captures the rangers
and Lightning Cruiser, but Storm Blaster escapes and finds Justin. Storm Blaster recharges Justin's Turbo Morpher and Justin
races to rescue his friends one last time before retiring for good.
Soon after, the Earth Rangers acciedentally discover a hidden compartment on board the
megaship, which holds a frozen silver ranger named Zhane. Andros explains that he and Zhane were best friends on his home
planet of KO-35, a space colony, and of how they fought off Dark Specter's forces before Zhane took a hit meant for Andros
and was severely injured. Andros froze him to keep him alive in hopes he would one day awaken. While the megaship is under
attack by planet natives, Zhane's cryo-stasis lock is opened and he awakens and defeats the assailants with ease.
However, because of his 2 years in stasis lock, Zhane's power is limited so he recharges
it by being struck by lightning. He then develops a romance with Astronema which dies prematurely due to differences...Zhane
then stays with a group of Kerovan (People of KO-35) rebels to help them stay safe. The others leave Zhane and head off to
find Zordon.
During a fight with Astronema, Andros discovers she is his long lost sister Karone and vows
to convert her. Astronema finally helps the rangers find Zordon, where she pretends to have captured them to get dark specter
to lower the shield around the planet. Once on the planet, Dark Specter discovers Astronema's conversion and threatens the
rangers, telling them they must give back Astronema or he would destroy earth with an astroid. Karone agrees and is ambushed
by a reprogrammed Ecliptor, her number one general, and is put under Dark Specter's control by an implanted brain manipulator.
Zhane returns and the rangers end up destroying the astroid with the help of the silver ranger and his new Mega Winger.
It is then Astronema concocts a plan to destroy dark specter and the rangers, by
creating five super powered beings known as the Psycho Rangers. Each psycho ranger aquires info about their counterpart and
is able to fight them easily. Psycho pink is first destroyed after pyscho yellow double crosses her, and then the rangers
destroy her with the Mega Voyager. Psycho Blue is then destroyed when TJ comes up with the idea to disguise everyone as a
blue ranger. The other three psychos are destroyed by a combined effort of all the rangers and their zords.
Later, Astronema devises a plan to turn people into data cards after
Andros unlocks the battleizer effect, giving him extra armor and power. Astronema creates a machine and begins turning people
into data cards, but the psycho ranger ghosts reverse the effect and become rematerialized. The fight the rangers, but Zhane
manages to get them back into data cards where they disappear with the disappearing island. Ecliptor manages to destroy the
Delta Megazord and the Mega Voyager, leaving the rangers at a major disadvantage.
In a desperate atttempt, Dark Specter calls a blitz and Rita, Lord Zedd, Rito,
Goldar, the Machine Empire, Divatox, and Astronema unite to conquer the galaxy. The rangers try to defend earth, including
Zhane who returns again with the Mega Winger, but they are severely beaten, destroying the Mega Winger as well, and Astronema
threatens the people of earth to give up the power rangers or perish by morning. Andros leaves that night to try and get through
to his sister while during the day, TJ, Carlos, Cassie, Ashley, and Zhane reveal their identity after the people
of earth try to claim they are rangers. Andros fights Astronema and inadvertently blocks a blast back at her, seemingly killing
her. Zordon, who is onboard Astronema's ship, tells him to shatter his energy tube and release his energy to purify the forces
of evil. Andros hesitantly does so and purges all evil within that galaxy, returning Astronema to Karone, Rita and
Zedd to their human forms, and Divatox to her form. All seems peaceful within the galaxy, though the cost of
Zordon's life was definitely worth it.
